Light. Cottonwood colour along the Bow River Pathway peaks in a short autumn window, and the river stays open through winter, giving cold-season frames their contrast. Summer evenings put low light straight down the numbered streets.

On the ground. Launching and landing in City of Calgary parks and on the pathway system is restricted by bylaw, so launches stage from private property with permission.
